Holland Heineken House 2012

Following Beijing 2008 and Vancouver 2010 HEINEKEN and the NOC*NSF (Dutch Olympic Committee / Dutch Sports Federation) have once again entrusted Gielissen with the concept, design and implementation of the Holland Heineken House, this time in London. Months of preparations has resulted in a look & feel version that will definitely outdo earlier editions. But before everything is completed, there are plenty of things to do at the venue. For example, around 13,000m2 of space is being organized so athletes and fans can get the most enjoyment out of this unique Olympic experience.

The Holland Heineken House consists of many elements: areas for the athletes, reception rooms for sponsors, various shops, eateries, media facilities, information counters and facilities for NOC*NSF and HEINEKEN. And of course a big hall where athletes will receive their medals and entertainers will perform. For the 11th time, the organizers have recruited the crème de la crème of the Dutch entertainment world.

Never so close

The Holland Heineken House opens its doors for the 11th time; this time from the 26th of July to the 12th of August 2012 in the extraordinary Alexandra Palace (North London)! The Holland Heineken House was never this close to the Netherlands. Between 30,000 and 50,000 Dutch people are expected in London each day, many of whom will want to visit the Holland Heineken House. The location of the official 'home' of the NOC*NSF is around 20 minutes by metro from the center of London and the Olympic Village. Alexandra Palace is a multi-functional event venue with a classical look and surrounded by its own park with a fantastic panorama of the London skyline. From its terrace you can practically see the Olympic torch burning!

The Olympic Summer Games will be held in London from the 2th of July to the 12th of August 2012. Ever since Barcelona 1992, wherever the Olympic Games were held, the Holland Heineken House was also there. The Holland Heineken House – the official home base of NOC*NSF during the Olympic Games – is not just the rendezvous for Dutch athletes and their families; it is also a place for the sport federations, VIPs, media and of course the sport fans. It is also the place where the medal winners of the Dutch Olympic Team are honored.
