The interior for Ziggo Utrecht

The colourful odd one out

In May 2008, the regional cable providers @Home, Casema and Multikabel merged to become Ziggo. This new player on the national market had to become an entirely new business, with its own name, own ambitions and a new positioning on the market. Design agency Aestron provided the branding, Heyligers design + projects won the contract to design the interior for both the regional offices and the central office, and we, finally, realized the interior.

Central Office Utrecht

Four of the five regional offices were transformed into local Customer Contact Centers to keep the service close to the customer. In addition came a central office for the corporate activities and the senior management: Central Office in Utrecht.

Traditional cellular office

The office building where Ziggo has its head office stems from the seventies. A shallow and thus open, elongated building that was set up as traditional cellular offices. After that was all stripped out and topped up with one floor, a new entrance was added. With a low ceiling and lots of stairs, it was hardly the perfect building for dynamic working.

New open entrance

On the ground floor close to the new and open entrance are the spaces also used by visitors: the restaurant - with flexible workplaces – the media room and the lounge that has been specially equipped to let visitors experience the various ways to watch television.
